Beginning a home search can feel overwhelming. Here is exactly how we take you from the first conversation to the keys in your hand.

Our team makes sure you understand each of the eight steps we take to make buying as easy and painless as possible. By the end of your search, with our support and guidance, you will be happily settled in your new home.

Meet in person and create a wishlist

Let's get to know each other. Once you're ready to work with our team, we'll meet for a buyer consultation to focus your search and work out what you want and need in a home.

Pre-qualification

We'll introduce you to our mortgage partner, who can help you determine your buying price range with confidence. Be prepared to dig into paperwork here — pay stubs, W2s and tax returns. The lender does a full review and tells you what you can borrow. This is a vital step.

Listing alerts sent to you

Our agents get to know you. Moving for a job? Want a shorter commute? Getting married, having a baby, upgrading or downsizing? We'll send you the listings you're most likely to be excited about — tell us when one jumps out and we'll book the viewing.

Schedule viewings and attend open houses

Here's where it gets fun. We'll go to local open houses together and view the homes you loved from your alerts, talking through how the budget works as we go.

Find the perfect home and write an offer

When you're ready, your agent presents a written offer to the seller. The seller may accept, counter, or decline — and we'll walk you through exactly how to handle each of those.

Finance, appraisal and inspection

Your offer is accepted and the home goes through appraisal and inspection. The appraisal confirms the price matches the property; the inspection makes sure everything works and there are no major issues. These are the last steps before the keys.

Time to close and get the keys

Closing day. Final paperwork and a great deal of signing your name. Bring everything you've collected along the way, and your down payment.
